| A spectacular pair of Victorian black leather boots as worn by the Household Cavalry (Life Guards / Blues & Royals). These boots are not designed for walking but for sitting mounted on horseback for many hours on end. Made from very thick stiff leather and extending above the knee with wings. Complete with original boot trees engraved with the boot maker 'Thomas' of St James street London. Circa 1870.
