| In 1854 Louis Vuitton opened his first shop on Rue Neuve des Capucines in Paris. Success came quickly and so did the need to develop and expand the company. In 1858 the first series of flat trunks were displayed in the store.
In 1893 Louis handed over the company to Georges his son.
Georges made Louis Vuitton a worldwide corporation and In 1896 put out the company's trademark canvas - The 'Monogram Canvas'. The company has continued to grow and develop until the present day, and is arguably the worlds leading luxury brand. |
